After dispatching him to the rough area of Outer Heaven's location, Big Boss got in contact with Snake via his wireless radio and reminded him that what he was about to experience would be unlike anything else he had encountered before. His mission objectives were to rescue Fox, and to uncover the truth behind Metal Gear.
His commanding officer, Big Boss, briefed him on the situation, and ordered Snake to do a follow-up mission to Gray Fox's infiltration entitled Operation Intrude N313. A few days late, rookie Solid Snake was called in for his first assignment for FOXHOUND.
